Jack Chalker: Vengeance of the Dancing Gods
Vengeance of the Dancing Gods by Jack L. Chalker is the third book in the Dancing Gods Trilogy. Our heroes, once again, are Joe and Marge the trucker turned barbarian and waitress turned fairy, with help from the scary Santa Claus figure, Throckmorton P. Ruddygore. The Dark Baron has been exiled from the magical land of Husaquahr across the Sea of Dreams to Earth, but he's plotting his comeback and it's up to Joe and Marge to stop him.
Jack Chalker was a favorite author of mine in my late teens. I ran across this series again at a used bookstore last year and reread them all twice. This one happens to be the one at hand as I write this. Of course the wise move would be to read the first, River of the Dancing Gods, and second, Demons of the Dancing Gods, books first.
