How to Save Thousands of Dollars on Your Home Mortgage, 2nd Edition is a must read book if you want to save money on the mortgage aspect of your next home purchase or on a mortgage refinance. It’s a definite must read for real estate agents informing clients on the mortgage process. The book is a little technical for those with no previous knowledge of mortgages, but an intelligent reader can take this and a copy of Keys to Mortgage Financing and Refinancing (Barron\’s Business Keys) and come out as a mortgage expert.
(The Barron’s Business Keys
series is an excellent resource on a wide range of business topics.)
Robert Bruss, San Francisco Examiner, June 7 1998
At last, here’s a ‘how to get a mortgage’ book that takes the borrower’s side, explaining how lenders earn their biggest profits and how borrowers can take advantage of lenders….This is one of the few ‘how to get a mortgage’ books that cannot be recommended to highly. It’s not perfect (the reverse mortgage section is very superficial), but the insider knowledge makes up for the weaknesses. Home buyers, realty agents, mortgage lenders and homeowners should study this book to understand the real workings of the huge home mortgage industry. –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The opportunity ranges from the home based operator whose goal is to earn a living on her own terms to the franchise operation with multiple employees where the business owner never touches a scrub brush. So, it’s fairly timely that this book, How to Start a Home-Based Housecleaning Business, 2nd (Home-Based Business Series), is being released in the early part of October.
Book Description
Here’s everything you need to know to run a successful housecleaning business from your home, from finding clients to selecting cleaning products to record keeping to advertising.

How to Make Money With Stock Options: A Basic Guide for the Conservative Investor by Mervyn Hecht, is a good source for investors interested in using options to hedge against downturns in their portfolio. With lots of “get rich quick” approaches to options investing out there, it’s great to see a good book on the subject by a well known and respected investment professional like Hecht.

The strategies are explained both by words and with graphs and visual aids. There are also general discussions of market strategies, advice for stockbrokers, lawyers, and general investors interested in stock options.
About the Author
Mr. Hecht graduated from Harvard Law School in 1963, and began the practice of business and tax law in Los Angeles during 1964. During his 25 years as a lawyer he represented several of the major stock brokerage firms and their representatives, as well as claimants, in disputes involving stock options.
